Have you scheduled the exam(s)? How long until the first one? Obviously it depends on that, but I am thinking you should ramp up those hours a little.

Depends on if you're learning or not. Are you retaining what you're studying and doing well on your practice tests? Obviously the time is important, but whether or not you know the material is a better indicator than how much time you are putting in.

Well…I am doing okay on my practice tests but probably not as well I should be doing. I think I will try to put in more hours.

I agree with what's been said here already. I know that this is not what you or others may want to hear, but Sundays are when I got LOTS of study time in. Weekends are usually your best opportunity to get big chunks of study material knocked off, especially if you have a full time job.

20 hours a week is a good number to aim for.

No, spending my weekends studying is just what I want to do. :)

I'm curious as to how many hours you guys are spending/have spent studying for each section. Whether you have passed or not, I would like to know about how many hours I should be putting in.

I never kept close track of it, but I would guess around 120 hours for FAR and REG, and 80-100 hours for BEC and AUD. AUD and REG and I had to take twice, so more than that if you add the times together.

80-100 hours is probably a helpful guideline to go by. However, your studying should be based much more on the amount of material you have covered and your performance on practice tests than the amount of time you have put in. If you’re doing poorly on your practice tests, study more! Don’t assume you will pass just because of the number of hours you have put in. Rather than planning to study for six hours on Sunday, for example, make a goal to cover two chapters in your textbook and achieve a score of 80% on practice tests for those chapters.

True--better to focus on what you've completed than how much time you've put in.
